Tobiko

They say children complete a family. I say the hell with kids, get a dog. (Obviously I have no kids yet). Over the summer I had my husband get ready cause we're going Garage Sale hopping! who doesn't like Garage sales? I told him there was this huge sale out in Northport,  he huffed but I was driving. When we got to the house He goes "where's the sale?" I smirked and knocked on the door. It opened and we were greeted by PUPPIES!!! yaaay! They were a Mastiff mix and oh so cute. Sadly, we didn't get a dog but I at least got him interested.  My husband and I came to an agreement that we would get a second BIG dog after a kid came along. I wont let a little 'agreement' steer me away from picking up every puppy I see in the meantime.

When I first got Tobi It was a drunken decision. My girlfriends and I each played hooky from work and spent that Monday having a 'funday'. We went to a sushi place in town and staggered out. (I was in my mid 20's give me a break). We were walking down the strip looking at all the stores and we passed a pet shop. One of my girlfriends, let's call her Mary, started signing that song "look at that doggie in the window". We went in. The first dog that caught my eye was this little dirty cotton ball jumping off the wall into a somersault. He didn't just do 1 or 2 or 3, this dog was relentless. I should have known. I let the saki take over my body and asked them to see the dog. After 5min of deep conversation with the dog and a balance transfer of my accounts, I owned a 5lb Maltese.

What do we name him? We went through a list trying to figure out a name that fit. The restaurant we had just came from was called Tobiko which means fish eggs. Not only does the name fit him perfectly but his breath stunk like fish. So it worked

I now had a dog...
